Вячеслав Липинський про роль традицій у становленні української держави та нації

Abstract

У статті здійснено аналіз поглядів В’ячеслава Липинського, яскравого представника консервативного напряму української суспільно-політичної думки щодо ролі традицій у розбудові незалежної Української держави та нації, що викладені у книзі «Листи до братів-хліборобів. Про ідею і організацію українського монархізму». Вчений зазначав, що завдяки традиціям у політичній історії існують зв’язок, спадкоємність суспільного поступу. Елементи державотворчої спадщини не зникають, вони включаються в реальні соціальні процеси тими своїми аспектами, які відповідають новим умовам. Умовою формування спільної національної культури є висока політична культура і сильна історична пам’ять. У публікації висвітлено не лише дороговкази політичного мислителя щодо збереження традицій розбудови української державності, а й причини їх втрати унаслідок російської імперської експансії. Акцентовано увагу на тезі В. Липинського про те, що традиції державотворення органічно пов’язані з процесом формування української нації; водночас без існування незалежної держави майбутнє української нації залишатиметься під загрозою. Показано логічний зв’язок між існуванням незалежної держави та єдністю провідної аристократичної верстви, очолюваної дідичним монархом-гетьманом. Необхідною умовою збереження державотворчих традицій, на думку вченого, є реалізація принципу наступності – передання і засвоєння досвіду державного управління старих управлінських кадрів-технократів новим поколінням державних службовців. На переконання провідника українського державотворення одним із вирішальних чинників забезпечення державного суверенітету є власна армія. В. Липинського наголошував, що державно- і національно-творчі завдання ніколи не обмежуються лише одним поколінням: це тривала наполеглива робота багатьох генерацій співвітчизників.

The views of Vyacheslav Lypynskyi, a prominent representative of the conservative direction of Ukrainian social and political thought, regarding the role of traditions in the development of an independent Ukrainian state and nation, as expressed by him in the book “Letters to Brothers-Breadmakers. On the idea and organization of Ukrainian monarchism” have been analyzed in the article. The scholar noted that thanks to traditions in political history there is a connection, continuity of social progress. Elements of the state-building heritage do not disappear, they are included in real social processes in those aspects that correspond to new conditions. Not only the political thinker's guidelines for preserving traditions during the development of Ukrainian statehood, but also the reasons for their loss as a result of Russian imperial expansion have been highlighted in the publication. There has been focused attention on V. Lypinsky's thesis that the traditions of state formation are organically connected with the process of formation of the Ukrainian nation; at the same time, without the existence of an independent state, the future of the Ukrainian nation will remain under threat. There has been shown the logical connection between the existence of an independent state and the unity of the leading aristocratic class, which should be headed by a hereditary monarch-hetman. A necessary condition for the preservation of state-building traditions, according to the scholar, is the implementation of the principle of continuity − the transfer and assimilation of the state management experience of the old technocrat management cadres to the new generation of civil servants. According to the leader of Ukrainian statebuilding, one of the decisive factors in ensuring state sovereignty is one's own army. V. Lypynskyi emphasized that state and national creative tasks are never limited to only one generation: it is the long-term hard work of many generations of compatriots.
