Дієслівні форми та їхні міжрівневі категорії: з історії формування терміносистеми

Abstract

У статті простежено розвиток вчення про дієслово та термінологію його морфологічних форм у наукових джерелах від найдавніших часів до сьогодення у рамках граматичної думки в Україні. Особлива увага зосереджена на рецепції частиномовної теорії праць античних граматистів та на змінах у поняттєво-термінологічному вираженні цих класів слів через традицію вживання та різні наукові підходи до їхнього вивчення. Термінологічна лексика в українській мові, що стосується дієслівних категорій, таких як дієвідміна, категорія стану, дієприкметник, перехідність/неперехідність, стала результатом тривалої еволюції, що охоплює запозичення з античної граматичної спадщини та поступову адаптацію термінів до українських мовних норм. Важливо, що терміни не лише калькували, але й переосмислювали відповідно до специфіки української граматичної системи, що сприяло формуванню багатої та самобутньої національної терміносистеми. Примітно, що в українських граматиках XVI–XVII ст. термінологія дієслівних акциденцій та форм часто була запозиченою з латинської та грецької мов. Кінець XIX – початок XX ст. ознаменувався періодом активного становлення національної лексики, коли було впроваджено низку термінів, зокрема і для дієслівних форм. Зокрема, С. Смаль-Стоцький та Ф. Гартнер, які узагальнили й упорядкували терміносистему української мови, запропонувавши терміни, близькі за своїм значенням і формою до тих, що були вживані в латинській граматиці, але адаптовані до українських мовних реалій. У сучасному українському мовознавстві дієслівні категорії та терміни, такі як дієвідміна, категорія стану, дієприкметник, є важливими компонентами граматичної системи. Термінологічна лексика продовжує розвиватися, відповідаючи на нові виклики сучасної мовознавчої науки та суспільної практики.

The article traces the development of the study of the verb and the terminology of its morphological forms in scientific sources from ancient times to the present, within the framework of grammatical thought in Ukraine. Special attention is paid to the reception of the part-of-speech theory from the works of ancient grammarians and to the changes in the conceptual and terminological expression of these word classes through the tradition of usage and various scholarly approaches to their study. The terminological vocabulary in the Ukrainian language concerning verb categories, such as conjugation, voice, participle, transitivity/intransitivity, is the result of a long evolution that includes borrowings from the ancient grammatical heritage and the gradual adaptation of terms to Ukrainian linguistic norms. Importantly, these terms were not only calqued but also reinterpreted in accordance with the specificities of the Ukrainian grammatical system, contributing to the formation of a rich and distinctive national terminological system. Notably, in Ukrainian grammars of the 16th–17th centuries, the terminology of verbal categories and forms was often borrowed from Latin and Greek. The late 19th and early 20th centuries marked a period of active development of national vocabulary, during which a number of terms, particularly for verbal forms, were introduced. Specifically, S. Smal-Stotsky and F. Gartner summarized and systematized the terminological system of the Ukrainian language, proposing terms that were similar in meaning and form to those used in Latin grammar but adapted to Ukrainian linguistic realities. In modern Ukrainian linguistics, verb categories and terms such as conjugation, voice, and participle are key components of the grammatical system. Terminological vocabulary continues to evolve, responding to new challenges in contemporary linguistic science and social practice.
