Екзистенційна самотність жінки в повісті-баладі Г. Пагутяк «Соловейко»

Abstract

У статті досліджуються засоби репрезентації екзистенційної самотності жінки в повісті-баладі Галини Пагутяк «Соловейко». Зауважено, що авторське визначення жанрової своєрідності твору маркує синтез подієвості життєвої історії з драматично-містичним світосприйняттям головної героїні – дівчини без імені, яка повсякчас переживає страх перед світом і внаслідок цього почувається дуже нещасливою і самотньою. Простежено, що головна героїня зображена в колі своїх однокурсниць Надійки, Олени, Валі, родички Ніночки, які виявляють конформістське ставлення до життя. Однолітки безіменної героїні дбають про налаштований побут, і поза ним їх нічого не турбує. Натомість головна героїня керується високими етичними й естетичними вимогами у ставленні до матері, у дружбі й коханні. Вона усвідомлює свою несхожість з іншими й намагається освоїти незвичний і незатишний для себе простір за допомогою уникання небажаного спілкування чи іронічного дистанціювання від ситуації. Наголошено, що ознаки балади у творі є важливим засобом творення екзистенції безіменної героїні. Унаслідок своєї звички до самотніх блукань дівчина знаходить локуси, у яких сходяться два світи – реальний і ірреальний або «дивний» простір, зокрема, схоже на око лісове озеро, дивний пустир серед міста, вуличку покинутих будинків з квартирами без дверей. Кожного разу контакт з дивним простором завершується для героїні травмою, що пришвидшує трагічний фінал. З’ясовано, що своєрідний діалог героїні з іншим світом відбувається через пісню і сни. Дівчина співає тільки в лісі або подумки, для неї це сакральне дійство, яке може відбуватися тільки тоді, коли вона щаслива, – у лісі, в рідній хаті, поряд з коханим. Востаннє пісня звучить, коли дівчина звільняється від усіх страхів, падаючи із сьомого поверху. Сни є передвісниками трагічних подій: сон тітки Ганни передвіщає нещасливе кохання, а сон самої безіменної дівчини про неіснуючі листи до неї коханого вербалізує її протест проти буденності у стосунках.

The article explores the means of representing existential loneliness of a woman in the novella-ballad «The Nightingale » by Halyna Pagutyak. It is noted that the author's definition of the genre originality marks the unique blend of a life story’sevents with the main character’s dramatic and mystical outlook on the world. The heroine is a girl without a name, who constantly experiences a senseless fear of the world and, as a result, feels very unhappy and lonely. It is traced that the main character is depicted in the circle of her classmates Nadiya, Olena, Valya, and Ninochka'srelative, who demonstrate a conformist attitude to life. The nameless heroine's peers care about their settled home life, and nothing besides it bothers them. Instead, the main character is guided by high ethical and aesthetic requirements in her attitude toward her mother, friendship, and love. She realizes her dissimilarity from others and tries to master an unusual and uncomfortable space for herself by avoiding unwanted communication or ironically distancing herself from the situation. It is emphasized that the features of a ballad in this work are an important means of creating the nameless heroine’sexistence. Due to her habit of wandering alone, the girl discovers places where the real world and an unreal or strange world intersect. In particular, there is a forest lake that looks like an eye, a weird wasteland in the middle of the city, and a street of abandoned houses with apartments without doors. Each time, her interaction with the strange space ends with the heroine getting trauma, which makes the tragic ending come closer. It is found that the heroine's peculiar dialogue with the other world occurs through songs and dreams. The girl sings only in the forest or in her head. It is sacred for her and it only happens when she is happy – in the forest, in her native home, next to her beloved. The last time we can hear the song is when the girl frees herself from all fears by falling from the seventh floor. Dreams are harbingers of tragic events: Aunt Hanna's dream foretells unhappy love, and the nameless girl'sdream of non-existent letters to her lover verbalizes her protest against the monotony in relationships.
