Поезія словацьких романтиків в перекладацькому дискурсі Івана Мацинського

Abstract

The article is devoted to the activity of the outstanding Ukrainian master of Eastern Slovakia Ivan Matsinsky in the field of the literary translation. It’s accepted on four fundamental editions of Ukrainian translations of works by prominent Slovak romantics J. Botto, J.Kral, A.Sladkovych and S. Khalupka which were edited in Slovakia during the 80's of the twentieth century. An evaluation of the aforementioned editions in contemporary criticism and literary criticism is given, articles by the Ukrainian and Slovak scholars (Halaida I., Zhytnyk V., Kovach F., Kolesnychenko – Bratus N., Konopelets V., Kundrat Yu., Mushynka V., Nevrly M., Roman M., Shelepets Y., Shtraus F., Yatskanych I. and others) are considered, and which emphasize the mission of Matsinsky as the translator in the discourse of the Slovak-Ukrainian cultural relations.
