| Abstract: | Тhе aim of this study was to determine the cumulative incidence of adhesive small bowel obstruction (SBO) after operations of colon and rectum. The records of 213 patients who underwent operations of colon from 1987 to 2002 were reviewed for SBO , potential risk factors for SBO, and the site of adhesion causing obstruction. SBO occurred in 51 patient of whom 36 had adhesion obstruction. Тhе incidence of SBO after colectomy is hight. |
