Abstract

Стаття аналізує вплив фінансових криз на міграційні процеси в ЄС, розглядаючи основні причини та наслідки посилення міграції в періоди економічних потрясінь. Досліджується роль соціальних та політичних факторів у регулюванні міграційних потоків, а також оцінюється ефективність міграційної політики ЄС. Наведено статистичні дані щодо змін на ринку праці, рівня зайнятості та фіскального внеску мігрантів у кризові періоди. Окреслено виклики для соціальної інтеграції та запропоновано рекомендації щодо вдосконалення механізмів міграційного управління. Дослідження демонструє, що адаптивна міграційна політика може слугувати інструментом економічного відновлення та сприяти стабільності європейських ринків праці. Важливим є врахування регіональних особливостей, що дозволить зробити механізми регулювання міграції більш ефективними та стійкими до майбутніх криз.

The article examines the impact of financial crises on migration processes within the EU, focusing on key causes and consequences of intensified migration during economic downturns. It explores the role of social and political factors in managing migration flows and assesses the effectiveness of EU migration policies. Statistical data on labor market shifts, employment rates, and migrants’ fiscal contributions during crises are presented. The study highlights the challenges of social integration and offers recommendations for improving migration governance mechanisms. Findings suggest that adaptive migration policies can serve as a tool for economic recovery and labour market stability, mitigating the negative consequences of financial disruptions. The research also underscores variations in migration responses among EU countries, influenced by differing economic capacities, labour demands, and national policy frameworks. Countries with flexible immigration policies and well-structured integration programs exhibit better economic resilience post-crisis, benefiting from skilled migrant labor, increased fiscal revenues, and a more dynamic workforce. Conversely, nations implementing restrictive policies face slower economic recovery, heightened unemployment, and greater social tensions due to economic uncertainty. The study emphasizes the need for a balanced approach, where migration is not merely viewed as a crisis-induced burden but as a strategic opportunity for economic revitalization. Developing flexible labour mobility frameworks and fostering regional cooperation on migration governance could enhance EU-wide economic resilience. Moreover, ensuring that migrants have access to education, vocational training, and legal employment opportunities is essential for maximizing their economic contributions. The research further suggests that long-term strategies incorporating education, professional retraining, and inclusive social policies can yield significant benefits. These policies not only aid in the economic integration of migrants but also help stabilize labour markets and address demographic challenges in aging European societies.
