Міжпоколіннєва солідарність як імагологічний аспект (на матеріалі роману Елізабет Гілберт «Committed»)

Abstract

У статті досліджуються міжгенераційні стосунки у сучасній жіночій прозі за допомогою імагологічних підходів. Матеріалом розвідки є роман Е. Гілберт «Committed» (2010). Увагу привернуто до функціонування такого виду міжгенераційних взаємин, як солідарність, а також до авторської репрезентації діалогу поколінь у контексті сучасних соціокультурних процесів. Дослідження ґрунтується на соціологічних методологічних засадах Е. Дюркгейма, О. Конта, Т. Парсонса, Г. Спенсера, Ч. Кулі, Г. Міда, Р. Е. Робертс та В. Л. Бенгтсон та на дослідженнях імагології Л. Февра, М. Блока, З. Алієвої, Д. Наливайка. Використано методологію гендерної критики (Л. Н. Крістін, Е. З. Ор, Д. Сабуду, Е. Циховська, М. Шульгун). Під міжпоколіннєвою солідарністю розуміємо встановлення контактів на базі довіри між різними генераціями, що є результатом суспільних процесів та ідей і залежить від низки факторів, серед яких вік, стать, етнічне походження, соціально-економічний статус, релігія, цінності та світоглядні переконання. Іншим важливим фактором міжгенераційних стосунків є культура, як нескінченний процес комунікації, що впливає на взаємодію між поколіннями в сучасному суспільстві. Саме культура визначає способи передачі знань, норм і традицій від старших поколінь до молодших, сприяючи формуванню спільної ідентичності та підтримці соціальної стабільності. Дослідження включає аналіз поетикальних аспектів міжгенераційної солідарності в імагологічному ключі. З’ясовано специфіку діалогу поколінь на наративному, особистісному (через головну героїню) та міжособистісному рівнях. Імагологічний підхід дозволяє виявити засоби формування світоглядних настанов персонажів, що є важливим для розуміння соціальних процесів у межах міжпоколіннєвого діалогу.

The article explores intergenerational relationships in contemporary women’s fiction using imagological approaches. The material of the study is the novel «Committed» (2010) by E. Gilbert. The focus is on the functioning of intergenerational solidarity, as well as the author’s textual representation of generational dialogue within the context of modern socio-cultural processes. The research is based on the sociological methodological principles of E. Durkheim, A. Comte, T. Parsons, H. Spencer, C. Cooley, G. Mead, R.E. Roberts, and V. L. Bengtson, as well as imagological studies by L. Febvre, M. Bloch, Z. Aliyeva, and D. Nalyvaiko. The methodology of gender criticism (L. N. Kristin, E. Z. Or, D. Sabudu, E. Tsikhovska, M. Shulgun) is also employed. Intergenerational solidarity is understood as the establishment of contacts based on trust between different generations, which results from social processes and ideas and depends on a number of factors, including age, gender, ethnicity, socio-economic status, religion, values, and worldview beliefs. Another important factor in intergenerational relationships is culture, as an endless process of communication that influences the interaction between generations in modern society. Culture determines the ways of transmitting knowledge, norms, and traditions from older to younger generations, contributing to the formation of a shared identity and maintaining social stability. The study includes an analysis of the poetic aspects of intergenerational solidarity from an imagological perspective. It identifies the specifics of generational dialogue on the narrative, personal (through the main heroine), and interpersonal levels. The imagological approach reveals how the author, using literary devices, forms the worldview attitudes of the characters, which is crucial for understanding social processes within the framework of intergenerational dialogue.
