Закони милозвучності української мови: правила та практика вживання (на прикладі чергування у та в)

Abstract

У статті описано та досліджено питання щодо сучасного використання законів милозвучності української мови на прикладі чергування у та в у складі прийменників (префіксів) або початкових звуків у деяких словах. Вибір теми дослідження зумовлений деякою розбіжністю між чинними правилами, зафіксованими в Українському правописі 2019 року, та практикою їхнього вживання в рекламній продукції, офіційно-ділових документах і навіть у текстах підручників. Об’єктом дослідження стали тексти правописів 1928(29), 1933, 1945, 1960, 1993, 2019 років видання, різноманітних оголошень, рекламних банерів і вільно вибрані тексти деяких підручників. До уваги не бралися художні твори українських поетів та прозаїків, оскільки в самому тексті чинного Правопису міститься зауваження щодо можливих відхилень у чергуванні у та в, які можуть бути спричинені вимогами ритмомелодики або мовними вподобаннями автора. Тому об’єктами дослідження обрані тексти з нейтральною лексикою, без додаткового емоційного забарвлення. Аналіз досліджуваного матеріалу зроблено переважно зіставним та описовим методами, які реалізовано способами лінгвістичного спостереження за формулюванням і поступовим удосконаленням правил щодо чергування в та у в Українських правописах, що виходили друком протягом майже століття, та за класифікацією помилок, які свідчать про непослідовне дотримання сучасними мовцями законів милозвучності в писемному мовленні. Отримані результати спостережень як за текстами правописів, так і за фактами реального вживання законів евфонії (на прикладі чергування у та в) та проведений аналіз зібраного матеріалу підтвердили факт деякої розбіжності між чинними правилами та практикою їхнього використання. Крім того, сформульовані нами запитання до чинних правил, сподіваємось, допоможуть їхньому вдосконаленню і в підсумку зменшать кількість помилок у письмових текстах. Зібраний матеріал, на нашу думку, може бути використаний для привертання уваги до наявної проблеми з метою пропагування ідеї збереження милозвучності української мови.

The article describes and investigates the issue of the modern use of the laws of melodicity of the Ukrainian language using the example of the alternation of у and в in prepositions (prefixes) or initial sounds in some words. The choice of the research topic is due to some discrepancy between the current rules recorded in the Ukrainian Spelling Code of 2019 and the practice of their use in advertising products, official business documents, and even in textbook texts. The objects of the study were the texts of the spellings of 1928(29), 1933, 1945, 1960, 1993, 2019 years of publication, various advertisements, advertising banners and freely selected texts of some textbooks. The works of fiction by Ukrainian poets and prose writers were not taken into account, since the text of the current Spelling itself contains a remark regarding possible deviations in the alternation of у and в, which may be caused by the requirements of rhythm and melody or the author’s linguistic preferences. Therefore, the objects of the study were texts with neutral vocabulary, without additional emotional coloring. The analysis of the studied material was carried out mainly by comparative and descriptive methods, which were implemented by means of linguistic observation of the formulation and gradual improvement of the rules for the alternation of v and y in Ukrainian orthographies, which were published for almost a century, and by the classification of errors that indicate inconsistent adherence by modern speakers to the laws of euphony in written speech. The results of observations obtained both on the texts of orthographies and on the facts of the real use of the laws of euphony (for example, the alternation of v and y) and the analysis of the collected material confirmed the fact of some discrepancy between the current rules and the practice of their use. In addition, the questions formulated by us to the current rules, we hope, will help improve them and ultimately reduce the number of errors in written texts. The collected material, in our opinion, can be used to draw attention to the existing problem in order to promote the idea of preserving the euphony of the Ukrainian language.
