Професор Василь Іванович Добош – відомий український мовознавець (1924–2001)

Abstract

В основі цієї публікації лежать матеріали виступу професора кафедри української мови УжНУ В.І. Статєєвої на наукових читаннях, присвячених 90-ій річниці з дня народження Василя Івановича Добоша у 2014 році. Ми доповнили їх фактами, що з’явилися пізніше, після 2014-го року, а також деякими іншими джерелами, які раніше не були використані. Метою статті є окреслення постаті відомого українського мовознавця, знаного в Україні діалектолога Василя Івановича Добоша в інформаційних виданнях України, з’ясування історії прізвища вченого та основних моментів біографії, характеристика тематики наукових пошуків відомого вченого, оцінка його праць у прижиттєвих та пожиттєвих виданнях. Вважаємо доцільним видати ці неопубліковані матеріали до 100-річчя з дня народження В.І. Добоша. Ця публікація буде корисною не тільки для історії українського мовознавства, а й для всіх, хто цікавиться українською мовою як мовою нації. Василь Іванович Добош лишив нестертий слід у дослідженні синтаксису відмінків українських південнокарпатських говорів, описав безприйменникові та прийменникові конструкції однієї з найбільш архаїчних периферійних груп українських говорів, що перебувають у безпосередньому контакті з румунською, угорською, словацькою та частково з польською мовами. Учений мав праці з діалектної лексикології та фразеології, з діалектного словотвору, з міжмовних контактів, з лінгвогеографії говорів, писав про синхронний та діахронний аспекти вивчення діалектного синтаксису. Його цікавила історія українського мовознавства та історія української літературної мови, ономастика, проблеми школи та педагогіки, краєзнавства, культури української мови. Професор В.І.Добош як людина, науковець і педагог належав до плеяди найкращих науковців-філологів не тільки Закарпаття, а й усієї України.

This publication is based on the materials of the speech of Professor of the Ukrainian Language Department of UzhNU V.I. Stateieva at the scientific readings dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Vasyl Dobosh’s birth in 2014. We have supplemented them with facts that appeared later, after 2014, as well as some other sources that have not been used before. The purpose of the article is to outline the figure of the famous Ukrainian linguist, dialectologist Vasyl Ivanovych Dobosh in the Ukrainian media, to find out the history of the scientist’s surname and the main points of his biography, to characterize the topics of the famous scientist’s research, and to evaluate his works in lifetime and lifetime publications. We consider it appropriate to publish these unpublished materials on the occasion of the upcoming 100th anniversary of V.I. Dobosh’s birth. This publication will be useful not only for the history of Ukrainian linguistics, but also for anyone interested in the Ukrainian language as the language of the nation. Vasyl Dobosh left an indelible mark in the study of case syntax in Ukrainian South Carpathian dialects, describing the prepositional and prepositional constructions of one of the most archaic peripheral groups of Ukrainian dialects in direct contact with Romanian, Hungarian, Slovak, and partly Polish. The scientist had works on dialect lexicology and phraseology, on dialect word formation, on interlingual contacts, on linguistic geography of dialects, and wrote about synchronic and diachronic aspects of the study of dialect syntax. He was interested in the history of Ukrainian linguistics and the history of the Ukrainian literary language, onomastics, problems of school and pedagogy, local history, and the culture of the Ukrainian language. Professor Dobosh as a person, scientist, and teacher belonged to the galaxy of the best philologists not only in Transcarpathia but also in Ukraine.
