Етичні аспекти професійної діяльності соціального працівника: виклики сьогодення

Abstract

Специфіка роботи соціального працівника полягає в тому, що вона вимагає від фахівця не тільки професійних знань, умінь, навичок, а й певного набору особистісних якостей, що визначають етичну чутливість та готовність фахівця до реалізації професійної діяльності на основі моральних цінностей та професійно-етичних принципів. Актуальність дослідження загострюється умовами воєнного стану, в яких соціальні працівники стають першою лінією підтримки для тих, хто опинився в складних життєвих обставинах. Метою статті є дослідження етичних аспектів професійної діяльності соціального працівника в контексті сучасних викликів. Основними методами дослідження є: узагальнення, порівняння, систематизації, абстрактно-логічний, методи аналізу та синтезу. Встановлено, що основними категоріями професійної етики соціального працівника, які визначають не тільки поведінку фахівця, але й ефективність його роботи та характер його взаємодії з клієнтами, є: гуманізм, емпатія, відповідальність, соціальна справедливість, чесність, відкритість, конфіденційність, прагнення до самовдосконалення тощо. З’ясовано, що в умовах воєнного стану для соціальних працівників актуалізуються такі важливі якості як стійкість до стресу, резильєнтність, гнучкість та адаптивність. Отже, дотримання високих етичних стандартів поведінки є вельми важливим завданням для соціальних працівників, адже це підсилює авторитет професії та підвищує довіру до соціальних служб в цілому.

The specificity of a social worker's work is that it requires not only professional knowledge, skills, and abilities but also a certain set of personal qualities that determine the ethical sensitivity and readiness of a specialist to carry out professional activities based on moral values and professional and ethical principles. The ability to inspire trust, respect, and a desire for cooperation is an integral part of a social worker's professional activity. The relevance of the study is exacerbated by the conditions of martial law, in which social workers become the first line of support for those who find themselves in difficult life circumstances. The article`s purpose: to study the ethical aspects of the professional activity of a social worker in the context of modern challenges, in particular, in the context of martial law. Research methods: generalization, comparison, systematization, abstract and logical, methods of analysis and synthesis. It is noted that the professional ethics of a social worker should be understood as a system of professional and ethical values, principles, and norms of behavior that are reflected in the minds of social workers, guide and regulate their relationships with clients, colleagues, and society as a whole. It has been established that the main categories of professional ethics of a social worker are humanism, empathy, responsibility, social justice, honesty, openness, confidentiality, striving for self-improvement, etc. It has been found that under martial law, such important qualities as stress resistance (the ability to remain calm and work effectively in difficult conditions), resilience (the ability to successfully adapt to difficult living conditions and quickly recover from stressful situations), flexibility, and adaptability are also relevant for social workers. Therefore, adherence to high ethical standards of behavior is a very important task for social workers, as it strengthens the authority of the profession and increases trust in social services in general.
