| Abstract: | The process of transformation in Czechoslovakia began with the Velvet Revolution, which laid the basic foundation to democratic reforms. Overall it was a peaceful revolution that could perform all tasks assigned to it. The result of the revolutionary process was to build a democratic state with elements of civil society. Development of the Czech Republic and Slovakia to the new scenario has allowed both countries to get rid of remnants of the old communist regime and build a new democratic country. |
