Abstract:	The social and political views of the famous Ukrainian public and political figure Otto Eihelmann in 1917-1920 are analyzed. First of all such aspect of political position of the scientist as the peculiarities of the relationship between the UPR and the countries of Western Europe, the significance of the independent Ukraine for the restoration of economical and political systems of the countries of postwar Europe are considered. The actuality of views of O.Eihelmann are pointed out.
