| Abstract: | Стаття присвячена дослідженню творчості афро-американської письменниці Тоні Моррісон, з’ясуванню специфіки її світобачення та визначення її місця у світовому літературному процесі. Oкреслено визначальні жанрово-тематичні підвалини її великої прози, осмислено специфіку художнього зображення персонажів у кризових ситуаціях певного історичного періоду, розкрито філософсько-ідейний зміст її романів. |
| Description: | The article is devoted to the investigation of creativity of the African-American writer Toni Morrison, clarifying the specificity of her worldview and determination of her place in the global literature process. It contains an attempt to analyze the psychologism in Toni Morrison’s texts systematically, outline the prominent genre and thematic foundations of the novel prose, make the specifics of her artistic representation of characters in crisis situations at a certain historical period meaningful, disclose the philosophical and ideological content of her novels. |
