| Abstract: | Стаття присвячена висвітленню сутності однієї з найдемократичніших систем виборів – виборчій системі США. Вона є не тільки важ- ливою формою безпосередньої участі громадян в здійсненні державної влади, а також конституційним актом обрання представників на- роду до органів державної влади. Система виборів в США є засобом виховання й самоорганізації та практичною реалізацією виборчого права народу, ефективним засобом перебудови сучасного суспільства. | Description: | The article is devoted to the disclosure of the nature of one of the most democratic systems of elections – election system of the USA. It is not only important form of direct participation of citizens in the exercise of state power, and also the constitutional act of electing representatives of the people to the state authorities. The election system in the USA is a tool for education and self-organization and practical realization of the electoral rights of the people, an effective means of conversion of modern society.
