| Abstract: | The concept of transition to democracy in post-Soviet societies is considered in the article. The post-Soviet transition is analyzed using the models of Schumpeter and Dal. The distinctive conditions of transition to democracy in Eastern Europe, Latin America, Southern Europe and post-Soviet states are considered. Author shows that the split of elites was the source of formation of political competition in post-Soviet society. |
