Description: | Phase equilibria in the TlBiP2Se6–TlSbP2Se6 system were investigated by differential-thermal analysis (DTA) and powder diffraction (XRD). Nine samples across 10 mol.% were synthesized in the system. The synthesis was carried out in evacuated to 0.13 Pa quartz ampoules. The maximum temperature was 850 K. Annealing was performed at 650 K for 10 days. The TlBiP2Se6–TlSbP2Se6 system is partially quasibinary below 749 K. The limited solid solutions less 10 mol.% at the TlBiP2Se6 side (a-phase) and nearly 15 mol.% near TlSbP2Se6 (b-phase). The liquidus consists of two parts: the primary crystallization curve of the decomposition product of TlBiP2Se6 (g-phase), in the concentration range 0-60 mol. % and the solid solution based on TlSbP2Se6 (60-100 mol. %). |
