Abstract:	Author investigates establishment and development of the democratic and jural state in the Czech Republic in the context of transformation processes in the Cental-Eastern Europe. It is especially emphasized that changes became possible due to the “velvet” revolution, destruction of the “party-state” system, adoption of democratic laws and perception and willingness of the society to execute them, banning of the Communist party members from taking the positions in government service, development of multi-party system, etc.
