Методика навчання іншомовного письма в торговельних школах Буковини (1918-1939 рр.)

Abstract

У статті проаналізовано передумови розвитку методики навчання іноземних мов в торговельних школах на Буковині у 1918-1939 рр. Охарактеризовано навчальний план вищої комерційної школи у Чернівцях за певними критеріями. Досліджено, що навчання у торговельних школах Буковини в період румунізації освіти здійснювалося на основі таких видів мовленнєвої діяльності як читання, говоріння та письма. Доведено, що велику роль відігравало писемне мовлення, зокрема комерційне листування. Перспективним у цьому напряму вважаємо дослідження методики навчання англійської мови в інших типах шкіл Буковини (перша половина XX cт.). In the article we have analyzed the preconditions for the development of foreign language teaching methods in trade schools of Bukovyna in 1918-1939. We have described the curriculum of higher commercial school in Chernivtsi according to certain 38 criteria. We have also investigated that teaching in trade schools of Bukovyna during the Romanization of Education was accomplished according to the following types of speech activity: reading, speaking and writing. It has been proved that writing, including commercial correspondence, played a major role among them. Writing exercises included translations, dictations, short renderings, writing letters, recommendations, complaints and offers, fi lling in of the standard contracts for barter transactions, confi rmation of contracts and writing of the responses to the received ones, proper execution of domiciled bills. It is also worth noting that great attention was paid to the study of culture, customs, trade and industry of England. We believe that the research of English language teaching methods in other types of schools of Bukovyna during the fi rst half of the XXth century is quite promising in future.
