Abstract: Epidemiological studies of frequency of teeth anomalies in different regions in Ukraine show great variability, which ranges from 30.8 to 85.4%. There is no doubt that the prevalence of bite anomalies is variable at different ages. The aim of the study is to study the prevalence of dentoalveolar anomalies in children and adolescents at all stages of dentition development. Materials and methods. We examined 700 children - 1 group of health and 460 patients - 2 health groups aged from 3 to 16 years, living since birth in Uzhgorod. To determine the dental status of the subjects used methods of research: clinical (survey, examination, conduct of clinical functional tests), roentgenological and anthropometric. Results. The maximum value of the prevalence of dentoalveolar anomalies was noted in the final stage of the period of the replaceable occlusion - 43.4%. Further on the degree of prevalence, the initial stage of the period of the replaceable occlusion is 40.6% and the period of the constant occlusion is 34.4% (p <0.01). The minimum value among all the revealed indicators was noted during the formed temporary occlusion and was 31.8%. Conclusions. Among children and adolescents of second group health prevalence of dentoalveolar anomalies was higher in comparison with a group of relatively healthy children. In one group of children the maximum prevalence noted the final stage in a period of variable bite, and among the surveyed children second group health initially alternating occlusion (83,51±2,64 %).
