Abstract: Aryltellurtrichlorides, as electrophilic reagents, interact with alkenyl derivatives, containing an additional nucleophilic center, regioselectively form heterocycles with an exocyclic aryltellurium fragment. It has been established that the interaction of p-methoxyphenyltetrachloride with N-alkenyl derivatives of 2-oxo(methylthio)thieno[2,3-d]pyrimidine-4-one does not lead to annulation of the oxazoline ring, whereas the molecular complexes of substrate:electrophile are formed in the ratio of 1:2. Aryltellurtrichloride forms a complex, probably with exocyclic oxygen and endocyclic nitrogen, which makes it impossible the addition to allyl fragment.
