| Abstract: | Interest in food names and names of kitchen utensils as an object of scientific studies during the last decades discernibly grew / increased. Such investigations are fulfilled on the basis of both non-Slavonic and " ·different Slavonic languages: Russian, Byelorussian etc. Attempts to partially interpret this vocabulary on the general Slavonic level. Over 60 lexical units investigated bу us are known in all or in the majority of Slavonic languages; they belong to the names of ArchiSlavonic origin or general Slavonic names. Our observations in this respect enable us to single out several groups of such parallels: east Slavonic, east Slavonic -west Slavonic, east Slavonic -Polish, Ukrainian - west Slavonic, Ukrainian -Byelorussian, Ukrainian -Russian, Ukrainian -Polish, Ukrainian -Serbic Croatian. |
