Abstract

There is no final optimal classification for the whole learning process (traditional and non-traditional methods) because it covers only one or more aspects of the process and methods. It is not possible to build common classification of teaching methods, as this would put extremely diverse teaching and educational activity, which is constantly renewed, into stable one. Thus, we can conclude that teaching methods is extremely complex psychological, educational, and social formation. In revealing their essence it has been found that they share not one, but several important significant features, and thus each teaching method is to be used in very specific pedagogical conditions. Only through integration, complementarity, and combination of traditional and non-traditional methods of teaching in the higher school we can come to the expected results.
