| Abstract: | The way of І. Matsynsky (1922-1987) to Ukrainian literary language and Ukrainian translations of Slovak romantic poetry wasn't easy. The poet was born in the East Slovakia in the Ruthanian family who spoke lemkiv dialect. At school and gymnasium he learned Slovak and Russian, at Prague vocational school - Czech, and Ukrainian language he had to master himself being 32 years of age. That's why in the Ukrainian translations of l. Matsynsky we come across such strong ethnocultural interference. |
